Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign my child up to play/cheer?
Sign ups open in the spring, typically in March. There will be in person sign up options and online. Sign up links will be added to our website and Facebook page.
Is there a sign up or registration fee?
There is a registration fee of $100 for each athlete to participate.
What is the registration fee used for?
The registration fee will go towards paying our game referees, paying for practice and home game space, insurance and legal fees,
Should I sign up for CCYFL or GCYFL? What is the difference?
Because our organization is so large, we are divided into 2 different leagues. The WC Navy side, or CCYFL league, is an age based league and team placement is determined by your child's age before August 1st of that year.
WC Gray side, or GCYFL, is a grade based league and team placement is determined by the grade of the child for that season/year.
The two different leagues play different teams in different leagues. The Clermont County Youth Football League (CCYFL) includes teams such as Batavia, Goshen, Bethel and Blanchester. The Greater Cincinnati Youth Football league includes teams such as Milford, Oak Hills, Hamilton and Mason (many of which are outside of Clermont County).
Determination of which league to choose is simply a preference based on the above factors and skill, ability and performance are equal amongst our leagues. For new athletes, registration may be staggered between the two leagues to keep numbers even.

What ages/grades can participate?
CCYFL starts at age 5 and goes to age 12. GCYFL starts in kindergarten and goes to 6th grade.
I'm interested in coaching, how can I apply?
Coach applications are located in our Forms section. All coaches must submit to Background Check and agree to abide by our organization's Coaches Code of Conduct,
How and where do I buy my child's uniform and equipment?
Football pads and helmets will be available to try on and order at in person sign ups. Uniform orders, including game pants and jerseys, will be taken by coaches and placed as one league order.

Cheer uniforms - uniform fittings are typically done in April, and though are optional, it is strongly encouraged all cheerleaders are fitted. Uniforms will include shell, midriff liner, skirt, briefs, warm up jacket and pants.
Is the organization transparent?
Yes! We hold general meetings, open to all, once a month. All financial statements are shared with families, coaches and board. We are a registered 501c3 organization registered with the Ohio State Auditor and our bylaws are publicized.
